Sifo recently presented a survey that showed what we humans throw away the most from the refrigerator. Therefore, in the coming weeks, we at Deligate will publish some food inspiration and recipes for the items that, according to the survey, are thrown away the most in homes. Three of them are;

        1. soft bread

  • Making croutons from bread is super easy and simple. Cut the bread into cubes and toast in the oven or in a pan with a little butter and use in your next salad.
  • Crostini are perfect for an appetizer or for more luxurious sandwiches for brunch. Slice the bread and toast it in the oven. Choose a topping of your choice, or take inspiration from the starter!
  • Make your own breadcrumbs. Break the bread into pieces, dry the bread at a low temperature in the oven. Then run the bread in a blender until it becomes crumbs! Voilá

         2. cucumber

  • Tsatsiki is a perfect sauce that can be used for most things. All you need is cucumber, natural yogurt and lemon, plus a few cloves of garlic and spices if you like. Grate the cucumber and add the excess liquid and stir everything together.

        3. banana

  • Banana pancakes are easy if you're looking for something healthy and filling (and have some leftover bananas at home). Since you'll be mashing the bananas, it's perfect if they've been sitting for a few days.
  • A perfect thing to put on your breakfast cereal is dried bananaor just eat it as banana chips. Slice bananas and place in the oven at 100 degrees, for about 2 hours to get them perfect.
